Bob Archibald

Bob retired from the USAF in 1976 and moved to Santa Rosa. He flew commuter airlines for two years with STOL Air Commuter, between Santa Rosa, other North Bay cities, and San Francisco International, many times daily.
In 1978 he became chief pilot of Sonoma Valley Flyers, a local flight school, and formed his own company, Dragonfly Aviation, in 1981. Dragonfly continues as the oldest flight school in Sonoma County and is a Cessna Pilot Center and North Bay center for Light Sport activity.
Bob is active in the Pacific Coast Air Museum, Experimental Aircraft Association, and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He travels extensively each year to aviation reunions and air shows across the country.
Allie Metcalf

Allie Metcalf, KSTS tower manager since March 2010 has an extensive aviation background as an air traffic controller and a commercial pilot. Metcalf served as a US Navy controller, has been a controller and facility manager at both contract and federal ATC towers; she was a Part 135 professional pilot and charter company manager. Before her move to Santa Rosa, Allie worked at the FAA headquarters in Washington, DC. Allie holds an ATP pilot certificate with a CE500 rating.
Barry Chambers
Barry Chambers, Commercial Pilot and CFI, Rotorcraft, has been flying for 9 years. Chambers has flown tours, new personnel and charters in Florida, Wisconsin and Illinois. He is currently the owner/operator of Sonoma Helicopter at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport where he flies tours and give flight instruction in Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters.
Art Hayssen

Art Hayssen, a 6-time Master CFI has been granted Master Instructor Emeritus status in recognition of his many years of commitment to quality aviation education. Hayssen is the director of aviation technology at the Santa Rosa Junior College. He is also a FAASTeam Lead Representative in the FAA's Oakland FSDO area.
Art is very active in the local aviation community. He is currently serving as on the board of directors for the Pacific Coast Air Museum.
Jim McCord
Jim McCord has been flight instructor for over 20 years. He enjoys teaching instrument and advanced students in addition to introducing new people to flying through intro flights and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Young Eagles Program. Previously Jim was a volunteer pilot for Angle Flight East where he had the opportunity to fly single pilot into some of the busiest airports on the east coast, including: Baltimore, Boston, Teterboro, and Philadelphia.
McCord's instructor certificates include: CFI, CFII and MEI. He is an FAA Safety Team Rep and along with Art Hayssen, leads quarterly CFI workshops. Wen not instructing, he likes to fly his RV-8 anywhere he can find a good $100 hamburger. You can reach Jim at jimcccordcfi@gmail.com or 707-331-4927.
Ron Alvestal
Ron Alvestal, CFI, began flying in 1962 when he used to hang out at the local airport, Bracket Field Airport in LA County. He traded washing aircraft windows for rides. Ron soloed in 1966 at the young age of 16, at “Ginney’s Flying School”, Ginney Wagner was a Ninety-Nine. Ron loved radio controlled aircraft when he was growing up.
In 1973 Ron acquired his commercial, instrument and CFI ratings. He trained on the Boeing 767 in Europe in 1993. Ron keeps his CFI current and is a flight instructor at Dragonfly Aviation at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport. He is very involved in local airport activities, including the Explorer Program at the Pacific Coast Air Museum. Ron is a mentor to many young pilots around the airport.
Jeff Willwerth

Joe Romson
More recently, Joe earned his CFI and CFI-I ratings and enjoys teaching in Cessna and Cirrus aircraft. He also has additional training in gliders, aerobatic aircraft and aircraft accident investigation. He is a published author and lecturer, with areas of interest in Human Factors / Human Performance, Aviation Safety and Aeromedical factors and has been a biomedical educator for more than 25 years (PhD in 1982, MD in 1986).
Joe has a customized, IFR capable, Tecnam Sierra Light Sport Aircraft based at Gnoss Field, which is the perfect platform for ratings from Sport Pilot to Instrument and Commercial ratings. To Joe, teaching people to fly is the perfect vehicle for sharing satisfying challenges, environmental appreciation and personal growth.
Toréa Rodriguez

Toréa Rodriguez is Chief Operating Officer at Coradine Aviation Systems. She oversees the company’s business operations, including business development, human resources, customer support, communications and product testing. Toréa has been teaching and flying professionally since 2005. During that time, she has specialized in glass-cockpits, technically advanced aircraft and now aviation software. Prior to Coradine Aviation Systems, Toréa was a corporate pilot and flight instructor in the TBM 850 and Citation Encore for private families in the San Francisco Bay Area. Toréa also flew charter for JedDirect Aviation in the King Air. Toréa accepted the Southwest Section 99s Professional Pilot of the Year award in 2007 and was awarded the CAE Simuflite Citation Corporate Aircraft Training Scholarship in 2008 at the Women in Aviation International Conference in San Diego. She holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with a Citation Encore Type Rating along with her CFI, CFII, MEI and AGI certificates and ratings. Prior to aviation, Toréa held various management positions for some of Silicon Valley’s top tech companies: eBay and Excite@home. Toréa is a charter member of the Women in Aviation, San Francisco Bay Area chapter and is a member of the leadership team for the 99s Professional Pilot Leadership Initiative program.
