On August 21st & 22nd, 2010, the annual "Wings Over Wine Country" Air Show at the Charles Schulz-Sonoma County Airport promises to be another weekend of outstanding flying and fun in beautiful Northern California wine country. This year’s show will feature military jet demonstrations, precision aerobatic flying, vintage warbirds, static aircraft displays, aviation memorabilia and more.

Families from all over Northern California, including Sacramento, San Francisco and Oakland make this an annual event. Attendance for this air show usually exceeds 20,000 people; we expect a great turnout again this year.

The Santa Rosa Ninety-Nines has been a proud participant in this event since its inception. We will be hosting a Silent Auction and Raffle as part of our annual effort to raise money for Aviation Scholarships in our community. 

The Santa Rosa Ninety-Nines is a non-profit organization that promotes aerospace education, provides aviation scholarships, and preserves the unique history of women in aviation. We provide scholarships to local women pilots as they pursue advanced ratings towards a career in aviation. Santa Rosa Ninety-Nines has a long history of supporting the local aviation community. Since 1980 we have awarded over 33 scholarships for more than $55,000.

Our goal for 2010 is to build on our past success and have set a financial goal of $15,000. One way to reach our goal is to ask the business community to support our efforts by becoming sponsors.
