We are women pilots — and women training to become pilots — united by a passion for aviation and a mission to support one another in the skies and on the ground.
The Santa Rosa 99s is a chapter of the International Ninety-Nines, a global organization of women pilots. Our members live, work, and fly in Santa Rosa and Sonoma County and the North San Francisco Bay Area.
Our chapter is part of the Southwest Section of the International Ninety-Nines which includes all 99s chapters in California, Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.
The Ninety-Nines promote global fellowship among women pilots by advancing aviation through education, scholarships, community outreach, and the preservation of women’s unique legacy in aviation.
The Santa Rosa Chapter actively supports this mission through a variety of local programs and initiatives.
- Sponsor FAA safety seminars to promote best practices and flight safety.
- Partner with Expanding Your Horizons to inspire and educate the next generation about aviation and STEM careers.
- Airmarking: Mark and identify airports by painting names on runways, a long-standing aviation tradition.
- Encourage pilot proficiency through our annual Airplane Proficiency Excursion (APEX), designed to sharpen skills and build confidence.
- Provide scholarships for advanced flight training to help women pursue and progress in professional aviation careers.
If you are a licensed woman pilot or woman student pilot in the Santa Rosa CA area, we invite you to join the Ninety-Nines and our chapter.
